Basket awnings (Korbmarkisen)

The simplest construction of awnings is the basket awning. It consists of an aluminium frame, which ranges from ball shape over banana shape up to angular shapes.

The aluminium construction can be stationary, so to say inflexible, or movable (retractable - with the help of a pull cord or with an electric drive). The frame is firmly tensed with an acrylic cloth or a cloth made from PVC. Due to the bent shape of a basket awning it can - with appropriate cloths - be also unscrupulously used with strong winds or even as rain protection.

You can often see basket awnings in front of shops, boutiques or cafes, because with an overprint they are a very good advertising medium. Because of their individual shaping and perfect technical workmanship an extraordinary means of sun protection and weather protection has been created for a lot of fields of application.
