Blinds (Jalousien)

A blind is a sun protection or dazzling protection, which consists of a number of slats and a belt or a tie rod.

The bars (slats) are connected to the tie rod in short and evenly distributed intervals. With the help of a special mechanism you can change the position of the horizontal slats as needed in case of strong or slight incidence of light.

This special window protection can be mounted on the external part of the window or the inside part of the window. For the outside there are tractive shutters and for the inside there are roller blinds.

The individual lamellae (slats), which provide visual shield as well as sun protection, can be made of roll-formed aluminium, PVC or also wood. The head of the blind and also the so-called drop bar are mostly made of tin.

Of course there are also materials which do not rust (for the special window protection). They are made for damp rooms. So-called cheap blinds, which are mostly manufactured in the Far East, consist of PVC lamellae and can also be very decorative.

Common widths of lamellae are for example 16 mm, 25 mm, 35 mm or 50 mm. In comparison to fixed blinds, normal blinds have the advantage that they can be opened and pulled down and the position of the individual slats can be adjusted. Wood blinds (Holz-Jalousien)

Wood blinds are available in many different materials. Among others made of lime tree, beech, oak and cherry tree. Wood blinds impress with their beautiful look, which leaves a very noble effect. The handling of wooden blinds does not take second place to the latest sun protection products. As standard it functions with a pull cord. However the operation of the blinds is also possible with a crank lever or with an electromotor.

Aluminium blinds (Aluminium-Jalousien)

With aluminium blinds you have a huge range of colours and also of many patterns, which are imprinted on the aluminium. These blinds attract attention because of their easy handling and their great metallic shimmer. The operation is as easy and ingenious. You can choose between the normal pull cord, an electric drive or a crank lever.
